Billings OB/GYN Associates is looking for an experienced Medical Biller to join our team. Successful applicants will possess exceptional customer service skills, skillfully manage tasks in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate integrity and enthusiastically deliver their best work every day.

Position Duties

  • Follow-up on all outstanding insurance claims at 60-days from the date of service in accordance with practice protocol with an emphasis on maximizing patient satisfaction and practice profitability.
  • Follow-up on all assigned work queues in Epic, correspondence, denials, account reconciliations and rebills within five working days of receipt to achieve maximum reimbursement in a timely manner with an emphasis on patient satisfaction.
  • Attendance at relevant seminars to remain abreast of current issues regarding obstetric and/or gynecology accounts receivable, Medicare Compliance and HIPAA.
  • Process refunds to insurance companies and patients in accordance with practice protocol.
  • Monitor reimbursement from managed care networks and insurance carriers to ensure reimbursement consistent with contract rates.
  • Proficiency with all facets of Epic medical practice management system including patient registration, charge entry, insurance processing, advanced collections, reports and ledger inquiry.
  • Provide cross coverage for the Patient Financial Specialist or as required to ensure efficient and professional practice operation including lunch and break coverage if needed.
  • Proficiency with Epic for eligibility verification and claim status, to efficiently conduct accounts receivable follow-up and to maximize revenue.
  • Maintain information regarding coding, insurance carriers, managed care networks and credentialing in an organized easy to reference format.
  • Maintain an organized, efficient and professional work environment.
  • Adhere to all practice policies related to OSHA, HIPAA and Medicare Compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of medical accounts receivable experience preferably in an obstetrics and/or gynecology setting.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Working Conditions and Requirements:

  • Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
  • Remote work possible.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, bending, light lifting and walking.
  • Requires a full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to a normal range.
  • Requires the ability to manage stressful situations.
  • May involve contact with angry, upset or ill persons.

Phlebotomist and NCMA

Phlebotomist/NCMA are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled collections, and being the face of the company.

This is a hybrid position for candidates who enjoy being a phlebotomist and are willing to float to a CMA position when needed.

CMAs are responsible for performing a variety of duties related to patient care, including assisting providers and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.

Primary Duties:

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Accurately and promptly, perform data entry of patient information.
  • Processing billing information, when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Communicate openly and effectively with team members.
  • Provide professional and compassionate patient care.
  • Ensure patient communication is active - ask questions, listen, and provide information.
  • Prepare exam room and regular stock supplies.
  • Room patients and take/record accurate vitals. Take and receive specimens and perform tests as ordered by the provider.
  • Maintain awareness of clinic needs and be flexible in meeting them.
  • Collaborate with other clinical team members to develop solutions tailored to the clinic's needs.

Qualifications and Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist
  • CMA Degree or certificate, required.
  • Minimum two years of MA experience. OB/GYN experience preferred
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Working Conditions and Requirements:

  • Ability to work Monday-Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm. With one day off a week, chosen according to practice needs.
  • This is a PART TIME position.

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Position may require prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is also required. Employees must have a standard range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. The position requires significant time looking at the computer screen, which may result in some eye strain.

Staff Sonographer

Billings OB/GYN Associates offers comprehensive care for women of all ages – obstetrics, gynecology, infertility, family planning and endocrinology.

We are a successful private practice Obstetrics & Gynecology clinic looking to fill a full-time position in sonography/ultrasound.

STAFF SONOGRAPHER

This position functions as a healthcare provider who, working under the delegated authority of the supervising physician, serves as a medical imaging professional providing relevant information to assist the physician with the diagnosis and treatment of patients.  The Staff Sonographer role and responsibilities include providing diagnostic medial sonography services and its various clinical specialties.  The Staff Sonographer activities are performed consistent with their education and training, and in accordance with facility policies and procedures and applicable professional standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Follow standard AIUM protocol for OB/GYN sonography exams
  • Demonstrates ability to produce appropriate and quality images
  • Assemble and presents all scan data for physicians in a timely manner
  • Keys data and patient information into EMR to generate reports of diagnostics findings
  • Displays adaptability, flexibility, prioritization, and assistance to other sonographers and physicians
  • Cleans and stocks sonography room as well as maintains equipment

Qualifications and Education:

EDUCATION: Satisfactory completion of formal ultrasound training in an AMA-approved school and/or formal on-the-job ultrasound training.

EXPERIENCE:  One year of experience in a diagnostic medical sonography position. Prefer 2 years of OB/GYN specialty. Epic & viewpoint experience preferred.

CERTIFICATION: Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.

  • Current RDMS credentialing
  • Current OB-GYN specialty credentialing

  • Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
