Kari Bates, D.O., earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at Montana State University Bozeman followed by her medical degree at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale. She then completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria. Motivated to return home to Montana, Dr. Bates joined Billings OB-GYN Associates in September 2021.
Dr. Bates was raised in Billings with her siblings Kristen and Thomas by her mom Lori and her dad, beloved Billings OB-GYN physician Dr. Hal Forseth. She met her husband Nathan in medical school. They have a son named Leroy and a dog named Norman. Dr. Bates enjoys spending time with her family, music, hiking, camping, and looks forward to learning how to fish.
