4D Ultrasound

Billings OBGYN

We are proud to offer 4D Ultrasound sessions

We Believe In Love At First Sight

Billings OB-GYN Associates is proud to offer expecting mothers and fathers the opportunity to bond with their baby prior to delivery. Our state-of-the-art 4D ultrasound system combines 3D imagery with enhanced physical effects that enable you to see your baby’s movements as they happen. Our experienced and caring staff will make seeing your baby’s face for the first time an experience that will truly touch your heart.

4D ultrasounds are offered to current patients of Billings OB-GYN Associates. Following the ultrasound, you will receive a flash drive containing up to twenty minutes of your baby in motion and one still 3D photo. We recommend that 4D ultrasounds be performed after 29 weeks when the baby’s features are further developed.

The images captured during this session depend on your baby’s mood and activity level that day. Because of this, we are unable to predict the types of pictures we will be able to capture. However, we can guarantee an exciting and memorable experience for everyone involved.

What Is 4D Ultrasound?

There are three different scanning modes in medical and obstetric ultrasound. The standard obstetric diagnostic mode is 2D scanning. In 3D fetal scanning, sound waves are sent at different angles returning echoes that result in a reconstructed three-dimensional image of the fetus. 3D ultrasounds allow one to see width, height and depth of images but no movement is shown. 4D ultrasounds involve the addition of movement by stringing together frames of 3D ultrasounds in quick succession.

A Memorable Gift

We offer gift certificates, which make a unique and memorable gift for expecting parents and family members alike. 4D ultrasounds are offered to both current and non- patients of Billings OB-GYN Associates.
