To Our Billings OB-GYN Patients:

We here at Billings OB-GYN take great pride in patient care and strive every day to provide exceptional women’s healthcare in a personalized, compassionate atmosphere. Because we want to be the best for you, we are updating our current medical record (MR) to a new and improved Electronic Medical Record (EMR) called EPIC on June 14th! This new EMR will allow for a more efficient, streamlined process for the entire practice.

As with any new process, there may be some challenges along the way. Outlined below you will find some of the challenges identified and some tips to help during this transition:

  1. With this implementation we will be working out of two different billing software programs, Medical Manager (our current system/legacy system) and EPIC (our new system). This may cause two different billing statements to be generated. If you have a current bill in our legacy system (Medical Manager), you will receive a statement from them. As we continue to transition to EPIC and you begin to accrue a bill, you will start to see a statement from them as well. You will owe both balances. All payments that are made on your account will be applied to the older balances first, per our policy. If you have billing questions please call 406-237-5808 or toll free at 866-251-8524.
  2. You may notice longer check-in and wait times in the clinic and on the phone for the first couple of weeks as we begin to learn the new EMR. We really appreciate your patience during this time.
  3. (TIP #1): For patients coming in that are new to the practice and/or seeing us for a new pregnancy, we will be requesting patients fill out our New OB or GYN Packets. We can also mail them out to you at your request. We will require you to fill these forms out and send them into us prior to your appointment. This will help minimize your wait time and allow your Physician to provide exceptional, personalized care.
  4. (TIP #2): We HIGHLY encourage you to sign up for MyChart at https://mychart.sclhealth.org/mychart if you have not done so already. This will help mainstream communication between you and your care team here at Billings OB-GYN. You can also download the MyChart app through the Apple or Android app store.
